Congratulations to Tyler Sage of Sage Farm for establishing his own excellent farm in Bernardston! Thank you to Tyler for four years of collaboration at Brook's Bend. We are grateful for the clearing and fertility brought by the pigs and for his farming acumen!

Oct. 2018: Ryan Richards' Little Song Farm is now sharing the land at Brook's Bend. A new barn is being raised on the back pasture where his chicken, sheep, and goats are already settling in. We are excited to welcome Ryan's vision and connections to the farm community.

Jan. 2017: After attending a workhop on Commoning, led by Dave Jacke and David Bollier, these two resources from the UK may help guide our thinking about Brook's Bend as a shared land: Access to Land and the Land Partnership Handbook.

An article in the Jan. 24, 2014 New York Times, The Elders of Organic Farming, expresses the questions in our hearts for Brook's Bend. What are the organizational models that will hold Brook's Bend as a shared community resource for generations to come? How can we pass our knowledge about the farm on, and transfer the farm to younger farmers who might have little or no economic resources?
